Anyone know when the PCI 3.0 gen gpu's are due. Will be building a system in first half this year once Ivybridge hits I am also wanting the latest gpu when its released.

Woops forgot to add Nvidia only wont touch ati with a barge pole.

Then prepare to wait for Q2/Q3 2012 for Keplar. What's wrong with AMD? I find them as good as Nvidia these days, and had no problems with drivers so far (if we ignore the multi GPU setups).

Never had a good experiences with an ati card sadly. They have been faulty or not lasted 6months. Also nvidia driver support is a lot better I feel. I have no interest in bf3 but am a heavy gamer and looking to the future with my next build. Don't get me wrong i know ati cards are good but sadly had way to many bad experiences with them.

The main reason I want the latest of everything is because I don't wana have to upgrade the pc for about 3-4 years. In my eyes best way to build a future proof long lasting system is to get latest technology.

Currently have about 1.2k to spend on new system should hit around 1.6 come march. Wanting to do some research and find out as much about incoming tech before I buy stuff.
