hi guys

befor i start let me list my system

rx 580 8gb nitro plus
asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
corsair vengeance pro ddr3 (1866) 16gb
corsair ax 750 gold rated psu
h80i v2 cooler
corsair ls (ssd) 240gb
amd fx 8350

ok my problem is that my graphics card can run in pci 3.0 but is running in 2.0
i understand there is no extra advantage by running it! but id just like to (why not )
what settings do i change and how do i go about doing this!

I dont think the fx 8350 and motherboard can run pci 3.0.

Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 is PCIE 2.0. It's the 990FX GEN3/R2.0 that is PCIE 3.0.

You won't be losing much performance anyway. Pci-e 2.0 16x is around the same performance as pci-e 3.0 8x so I reckon you will only be losing 2-4% in performance.

im happy with my system tbf! i have it stable at 4.5ghz and getting 102 fps in battlefield 1 on ultra settings ! so i guess il wait to upgrade in a year or so then think about 3.0
