Hi there,

I'm buying all my components for a new gaming rig, and I need to find a PCI card that is suitable for using my Xbox as an input, so I can play it through the monitor. I can't buy an external Tv Tuner (such as the Avermedia Box9), and the PCi card must have zero time lag, for composite input, as any time lag would destroy the element of gaming. Could anyone tell me a suitable card for this? It's important that I know one before going here to buy the components: I don't want to pay a restocking charge.

Thanks,

Jon

Hi there!

I use and would highly recommend a Pinnacle PCTV 40i.

I use DScaler to display the input from my Consoles (NES - Composite, SNES, N64 and Gamecube - S-video).

It's cheap @ approx. £30 and DScaler works great with it.

HTH?

Thanks, yet I've just looked at the card, and it has 2 aerial inputs and an S-Video... but that'd be fine, as long as I can get a converter for Line-In. Thanks very much!

have you thought about a xbox VGA box, if you have a US xbox, chipped xbox or softmodded PAL xbox, you can use them, image quality is perfect unlike composite-s-video.

I used to use 1 all the time, but since buying a plasma i dont use my monitor anymore.
