PCI-E 16x low profile Graphic Card

By low profile dont he mean the actual card is small?, in which case the X1950Pro is about the same length as an 8800GTS.

Low profile means that the card back plate is reduced in size, meaning the PCB is also low height.

Is this for gaming? I'm not aware of any 3d graphics cards that are low profile though I might be wrong.

The X1950 PRO 512 MB is a CRACKING card. Long, but nice and slim, and canes the 8600 GTS :p

I need the card for a HP Slimline PC which has one Low Profile PCIe Slot

The most powerful "low profile" jobbie I've seen was a certain auction site. It was an X1300 256mb versh, s/h btw. Low profile pcb and half height bracket.

Tis what I'm using in my current rig a low profile x1300 256mb DDR2 card, took of the backplate as I'm running it in a full size case at the mo. I remember at the time it was a real bitch to find but got it of an internet retailer.

Thanks for all the advice. In the end found a X1300 256MB for £30 online. Not the most powerful card in the world but does the job required.
