As title - is there anything specific I should be looking out for? Are there any specific advantages/disadvantages to either ATi or nVidia?

I was thinking of this HIS card, unless anyone can give me a reason to go for something different.
 
Definitely looking for the sound - after a quick google it seems that DTS/DD passthrough via HDMI can be achieved, but it's a bit of an effort (and might not work in Vista)! Why can't PCs be simple?
