Hi there, I have recently put my 4790K back to stock settings (with XMP) as a result of slight instability and tbh it is fast enough for gaming. However have noticed that the PCI-E clock at times jumps up from 100Mhz with x44 multipler to 102.6Mhz still with the same multi to give a clock of 4516.5Mhz as opposed to the "stock" turbo of 4400Mhz. Can anyone explain this, as I have not done anything other than load default values then select XMP.
The system seems stable, so it isn't a huge issue, but would still be interested to know what would cause this. Will have to monitor via logs to see how frequently the PCI-E clock goes beyond 100Mhz or if it is just a spike.
