PCI-E Nvidia Quadro FX 3700 and gigabyte mobo?

hi my graphics card is down so i need a new one and in all honesty i spend most of my time learning a 3d app so i thought i would go down the tailored graphics card root with the quadros. however i have a gigabyte mobo - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/FAQ_Model.aspx?ProductID=2766#anchor_os (x48ds5) and i was wondering whether this mobo can work with nvidia cards?

I am pretty sure that as long as it has the correct socket than it doesnt matter if the card is ati or nvidia.
