I hope the answer is yes, otherwise it's odd that they are for sale. For some reason I can't help doubting them a bit, will a pci-e 2.0 graphics card behave exactly the same when using one as if it were directly connected?

Reasonable chance that someone on here has tried one. It just doesn't look like something that would work to me.

Cheers

Well having never tried one, I would imagine that it would work fine :/ i am thinking that maybe some speed will be lost but not enough that you will notice i dont think.
I reccommend waiting for some more replys before making a choice.

dont the mac tower use something like these, due to there motherbord being on the towers bottom and the video card in the middle, tho i could be well of base

I don't know to be honest. I'm worrying about interference from radio waves, and about induction messing up the signals. I don't know enough about either to tell if it's an issue or not, and I suppose wrapping the ribbon in foil would help if they were.

Unsure.

Tbh I doubt you will get any interference but once again, Me having never used one I can't say,but it isn't altering the item it's just extending the port.

I used to use a PCI ribbon, and that worked fine! Not tried a PCI-E one though.

As you say, if they didn't work they wouldn't sell them.
