I want to be able to mount my graphics card slightly away from my mobo as part of custom case build.

I have seen a PCI-E "riser" which is a 7cm ribbon cable which presumably plugs into the PCI-E socket on the mobo and then into the graphics card (wont link as its on a competitor site). Have I got the right sort of thing do what I want?
