Hey there, I just tried my 2nd graphics card in slot 3 on my motherboard z77a-gd65 so that theres more space between them for the air to flow in, but the 3rd pci-e slot is as if it is turned off, windows doesn't detect a gpu in it at all.

any ideas how to turn it on? there was a sticker on it saying for use of 3 graphics cards install a ivy bridge, but I cant figure out how to use 1 and 3 pcie slots instead of 1 and 2 :/

thanks

Check the MSI website for your board as you may find you need a ivybridge CPU to use that slot.

Ah yeah just been having a read through it's wired directly to ivy only. Sucks a bit for anyone on sandy bridge not having the option of which two slots to use, etleast I think iv got a ivy on the way soon :)

3rd slot on my Z77 mpower doesn't do anything either. But I like sandy bridge too much to do anything about it.
