Can anyone help me out with this one?

My current Motherboard is only supports PCI-E v1.0
I was looking at a new Graphics card but was wondering is it worth running a PCI-E v2.0 compatible card in my slower board?

Would I still see a performance difference or should I upgrade my motherboard first and then the graphics at a later date?

I’m am still running XP so direct-x 10 is not an issue at the moment

My budget is £150 ish so it would be either a graphics card or board.

Thanks for any advice
(Hope I have this in the right section)

System Spec is:
ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X 512mb
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X
4gb Ram DDR-2
Corsair HX 620W
XP Pro SP3

I believe that is actually a PCI-E 1.1?

I'm running my 4870X2 in PCI-E 1.1 and it runs just as well as it should do.
