DL everest, then its under motherboard-chipset-scroll down and its the PCI Express Controller information.

do you have your card in the 2nd PCIe slot? as it should be Port #1 @ 16x

ok dude im gonna say it

if you can build ure self that pc or even overclock it etc you should more than be able to look in the motherboard manual or even download the pdf of ure manual to find out about ure pci-e slots to find out which is the main and what ure cards in which port and what speed its running!!

i know what slot its in i have read manual (no mention of pci-e version) i know its running x8 but should be x16 so whats ** point?

Doesn't the X2 show up as 8x though as its 2x 3870's, which split the 16x PCI-E bus between them, so 8x each, or am i totally wrong.

my point is im sure u can find somethings to test it with as if you sent it back and was nothing wrong not gonna do any good is it!

anyway try the other port if there is one or try the card in another pc as since ure cpu etc is a good spec i would have thought u had another or another gfx card to try!!

Oh yeah, for some daft reason i think everyone is on about the X2 when they talk about the 3870.

well it just died on me lol sometimes wont post and sometimes posts but no display was having slow boot isuses before it died as well ,ive put my gts back in and works fine and the slot is back to x16 so it must have been a duff card
