pci-e x1 adapter?

hi, is there an adapter that can convert a pci to pci-e x1 or a pci-e (x4 electrical) to x1?

PCI-E x4 will allow the use of PCI-E x1 cards, but not vice versa IIRC. PCI-E is not compatible with PCI in any way.

You can put a pci-e x1 card into any pci-e slot.

You can't convert a pci to pci-e.

PCI-2 2.0 is irrelevent to this really.

PCIe 2.0 motherboard slots are backward compatible with PCIe v1.x
PCIe 2.0 cards are compatible with PCIe 1.1 (bar some chipset issues)

Technically, there are some single chip PCI - PCIe bridge solutions so it should be possible to build an adapter without too much difficulty. physically getting a full height card plus adapter to fit is another story.
