PCI-E X1 Mod won't work!

I modded the PCI-E X1 to put a PCI-E X16 in and it will work until the XP logon screen all thats there is a black screen. Why this shows the mod itself worked dosen't it?

Sounds like one hell of a mod. I take it you have a graphics card in this PCIe x1 port?

What did the mod involve?
