My 8800GTS, on a P5B Deluxe seems to be running at x1 not x16...

I get:

3dmark05 - 13000
3dmark06 - 8500

Spec is
E6420
P5B Deluxe
8800GTS
2GB ram

CS:S doesn't seem to like high textures either and I wonder if it because of this. Are the 3D Mark scores ok? Could it just be mis-reporting it because even the Nvidia driver CP reports it as x1 speed.

Seems to be a problem with Asus boards, might be fixable with a BIOS update or upping the mhz for the PCI-E bus a bit from what I've read.

Got any links to where this info comes from? I've been googling to no avail :(

/EDIT never mind, found what you suggested onthe asus forums. Will give it a go now.

Apparently most people up it to 105mhz or 110mhz depending on what works for them.

Some have apparently gone up to 115mhz but no further for fear of damaging the board.

So try 105/110 and see if that's ok :)

I haven't tried up to 110 yet (108 was highest I went, aslo tried uping NB and or SB vCores

But the problem is DEFINATELY to do with overclocking...i was at 3.2GHz, knocked it back to stock and PCI-e goes right back to normal... the wonderful world of overclocking :(

/EDIT just tried 110 and its all good, currently got the NB vCore at 1.45, going to try it at 1.25, just for the sake of heat, if it doesnt work then no matter.

/EDIT2 NB vCore now at 1.25 and all is well in the world. Thanks lads.
