Hi all.

I was wondering, are there any decent PCI Ethernet cards out there that would work on my old PC and also work with Windows 7 ?

My current card just isn't compatible,so at this moment in time I'm forced to use Ubuntu when I would rather be using Windows 7 !

Thanks to all who can help !

Pretty much any realtek based card should be ok with 7 (and they are reasonable), otherwise possibly something from Marvel.

Why isn't the current one working with 7, is it a driver issue? (there are only a few companies that actually make the chips so you may be able to find a generic windows 7 driver).

any of the standard ones on here should be fine but if you are looking for a decent one you cant get much better than the intel pro 1000pt

what is your current card? as Werewolf says, not that many companies make them, I've got a belkin gigabit card in one machine, no official belkin driver, so I scratched off the sticker to find it was a marvell yukon card, I just got their latest driver and forced windows to install it, working perfectly
