pci/ex-usb cards

Hi all whats the best or recommended pci or pci'express? if make much dif to usb card.Whats a good make etc if there is such thing.and in what slot type?
Has found in pci and express the little slot and wondering if either or both the same?

It all depends on what you want to plug in tbh, if were talking mouse/keyboard/headphones/etc a usb card in either slot will do the job fine, if you want USB3.0 I would suggest a pci-e usb card (3.0 compliant ofc) but tbh I would expect any board with pci-e slots to have more than enough usb ports/headers :S

Hi yes mine does but been having a problem with lagg/freezing if say ive a java app with animations and move mouse quickly it freezes up and was wondering if i took load off ports it might help as friend had problem with his usb.well it gave him gpu driver slow loading/lagging and more then ports stopped so he installed a card and says it has never worked better boots up quick and on line.
So thinking of trying.

If you have got some spare USB motherboard headers just got some USB brackets from eBay?

Hi usb headers are not the problem ive plenty of ports.only using 2-3.headset/keyboard mouse is plugged into keyboard atmo.
Asus even supplies a 2 port plus firewire card that slots into back where pci slots are using headers from mobo
