So before I leap into town I was wondering if the 8 pin power adaptor on my akasa 460 psu could do the job?
I'm assuming no but I'd thought I'd ask![]()

You'll need to invest in an adaptor I'm afraid.
Probably, I made a very angry thread some time ago when I recieved an X1900XT 512MB with no 6-pin adapter in the box (despite the contents list on the back of the box saying it had one.) I sent an email to Connect3D about it and they tried to feed me some rubbish about how my PSU will not be powerful enough to run an X1900XT 512MB if it doesn't already have one on it.sirlemonhead said:Was this a Connect3D card?
X1000 Series graphics cards have a 2D mode and 3D mode.Toekiller said:Anyway it runs ok now but when I ran ati tools the core was at 500. Is this a symptom of not enough juice or am I reading it wrong?
