PCI Express Problems X1800XT & X550 Help Me!

i have a the system in my sig and i put an X550 into the 4th Pci ecpress slot and it should run that card at 2X and give me some more monitors and it wont... any ideas???

not in system manager and wont get a pic on boot up

im interested to find out this as well, as thinking of getting a cheap 2nd pci-e card for more monitors
