Hi all I'm after some advice my son is trying to remove the graphics from his old pc but not sure what way to push the clip to unlock from the slot. The motherboard is a ( gigabyte ga-f2a78m-hd2 motherboard ). The slot has got a long locking clip not the push back ones like on Morden motherboards. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looking at the manual for the board the clip is not a push down (towards the board) but one you push towards the ram slots to release the GPU.

As your looking at the motherboard push the clip up towards the ram slots and then while holding the clip up try and remove the GPU.

Picture below showing what I am trying to say

Thank you everyone. the graphics card I'm going to put this motherboard is a

NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX745 it says pcie 3.0 so do you think this card will work in the pcie 2.0 that the motherboard has. Thank you

Yes, but if you can configure the PCI-E speed manually in the BIOS, I'd do that after the card is installed.

A BIOS update can also be prudent, especially if it mentions graphics compatibility issues.
