PCI-Express X1 Physx Card?

If its an open slot or you carve the back out (assuming the board can properly provide the power to the x1 slot for a GPU) you could sit something like an 8800GT in there for PhysX - it should run ok as the original PPUs ran on slower links than 1x PCI-e.

Off topic slightly but any suggestions on something worthwhile to utilise that slot with? I had a good soundcard in there but after comparing it to the onboard I sold it. Not to say that the dedicated sound card wasn't better, it just wasn't worth the cost to me.

kinda OT, but does anyone actually use 1X PCI-E slots for anything? I am think of getting a PCI-e 1X wireless NIC just because my PCI slot is covered by my gpu in my mATX HTPC.

Yes ivew previously had a x1 X-Fi and more recently an x1 TV card :)
