PCI network Card help

Hi my dad lives couple of hundred meters from me and is not on the net.

I want to fit one of the following to his pc

Linksys WMP54G 54Mb Wireless PCI Network Card

want this to pick up my wifi setup so he gets free internet of my broardband

question wanted help with is are the above good for £20 and if not what would you recomend?

His pc backs onto the main wall of the house so will this affect it in any way?

Help would be great.

Its not going to work at that distance through multiple walls\solid objects.

What sort of distance would we be looking at ? and also I have seen that you can get some cards with a wire areal that can be moved approx 2-3 meters of cable.

Any Ideas what I should be going for here?

What sort of range would I get?

Also just to extend. I have taken my laptop down to his house and it picked my wifi up on a poor sig strength????

"Poor" means it will disconnect fairly often. Although a better router and decent wireless card can improve reliability.
