hey guys,

I've got a Pc here which seems to have the pci slot the wrong way round.

I've got a graphics card for it, (pci which fits fine) but the new sound card doesn't.

the graphics card has the smaller part of the printed board that fits in to the mothernoard at the fount (next to the side of the case.

the sound card has the smaller part of the printed baord that fits into the mother board at the back. (furthest part from the case.)

Any ideas why this is????

Both where sold to me as PCI. I was carefull not to get PCI express, as I dapn't have any of thoese slots.

Cheers in advance.

;)

No,

can someone explain which slot is which to me please???

edit; This isn't a pic of my machine, but it does show the slots I'm trying to figure out. I only have one PCI slot (looks like the one on the left - with the side of the PC case at the bottom of the picture.)

Just put the graphics card in the PCI-Express slot and the sound card in the PCI slot :P
