I just got hold of a Laptop internal PCI TV Tuner card.
I was 50-50 on it, and so I simply chucked it into a test Laptop, and sure enough, it didnt kill anything and so I have put it into a better Laptop to have a good play about.
After some fiddling about, I cannot get a signal to it, and I suppose this must be because there is no arial, and so I have had a look at the card and sure enough, there is a single connector on there that is the same as a WLAN cards connector... Tiny little snap on thingy.
I see no reason why I cannot try to connect one of those, but I dont know, and so I wont risk.
But my question is simply this :- Can I buy an antennae / arial for the thing thats specifically for TV cards? I have had a look in a few places, but Wifi ariels are all I seem to be finding, not TV ones?
The device I have was a git to find drivers for, but its now working on ASUS 7700D in Windows 7 and both JRiver and MCE see it just fine... Just dont tune any channels. Also kaffeine in Sabayon and Mint both saw it and did teh same.
