PCI TV Tuner

It tends to be DVB-S and -S2 tuners that need the floppy connector. That's because they power the LNB on the satellite dish. Terrestrial (in this country) is passive so no extra power needed.

If you want to watch HD channels you'll need either a -T2 or -S2 tuner depending on satellite vs terrestrial.

*bump* The main reason I could see in purchasing that one is the fact that you could turn it off and on with the remote. But, I've just realised that this is a moot point as I will still need to turn the monitor and speakers on by hand surely?

In that case, I may just opt for a cheap and cheerful one.

Use the hippy hated, power wasting standby button!

These turn up in the MM often if you have access

blackgold cards are rated really well and can do HD too
also some remotes can put the pc into standby and then wake it, the microsoft remote control does this but most remotes that come with the cards can put it into standby but not wake it
personally if you have a decent monitor i would go for a blackgold HD card all the way
