Hi all,

Is there any benefit to using a pci wireless card over a USB wireless adaptor? Also, is usb 2 necessary for a usb adaptor, or will 1.1 also be ok?

Thanks all

USB1.1 doesn't have the transfer rate to make the best of the faster wireless standards. USB2 does, however your connecting through 2 lots of drivers which means there's more to go wrong.
PCI cards also tend to have the option of upgradible aerials whereas USB adapters don't.

PCI is generally better for a PC than USB, unless other restirctions apply.

The only times a PCI adapter would be worse than a USB one would be if you don't have any spare PCI slots or you can't move the aerial from behind the PC.
