Hi chaps.

During a rack move I've managed to damage my 2-port PCI-X eSATA card. (Don't ask... because I don't rightly know how it happened myself!)
In any case, I need a new one. The problem seems to be locating one!

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Pretty rare IME, last time I needed eSAS in a server with PCI-x, it was a lot less hassle to replace the riser with a PCI-e one

Yeah thanks - tried that but there's such a range of prices I've no idea what to go for.

Not thought about replacing the riser - will definitely look into that so thanks!

You want a LaCie eSATA PCI Card. Yes I know it looks like it's designed for style over substance, they are primarily aimed at Mac workstations. It works and it's server compatability is high. We got one for our Win2k3 server because it has certified server drivers and overall it was reliable as hell. Very good product.

They are £40-50 new if you Google for one.

Sir, you are a genius. It never occured to me to plug a PCI card into a PCI-X slot... why I'm not sure but nevertheless this opens up a whole world of options!

THANK YOU.
