PCI XFi Without Front IO

Hi all,

I've got my old PCI XFi Fatal1ty spare after replacing it with a PCI-E Zx. There's no point listing it for sale as no one will want it for anything more than £15 so I thought I'd use it at work. Trouble is, my PC has no spare drive expansion ports. Can I run it without the front IO port and use just the PCI card?

Sure, the front bay thing is just an additional. Can be used without it no problem.

Got it fitted, and working nicely. It's only powering £15 HD201s so hardly going to be audiophile grade, but it's still night and day over onboard.
