PCIe 4 On Intel yet ??

No.

Rocket Lake due Q1 2021 is expected to have support for PCIe 4.

I think I recall hearing about Gigabyte z490 boards supporting PCIe 4 but since the 10 series processors that work on those boards don’t support PCIe 4 it makes little sense right now. However if the 11th gen Rocket Lake work on z490 then that PCIe 4 support makes more sense.

edit - a quick search says z490 will be compatible with rocket lake.

Hmmm the 'compatible' thing doesnt fill me with confidence, I'll just wait to see how Rocket Lake pans out next year....

^^ exactly that.

i had an arguement here with someone who insisted Z490 boards will have PCIe4. but as far as I am aware all the wording is compatible or support PCIe4 not capable of PCIe4. it is like saying PCIe3 can work in PCIe2 slots. compatible and support but doesnt run at PCIe3 speeds.

i personally dont think Z490 boards will be capable of PCIe4 speeds.
