Just bought a HP ML110 G5 as it was dirt cheap and can't think what to do with it.

Maybe a second HTPC but it only has PCIe 8x slots will any card work in there?

EDIT, seems that filing out the plastic so a 16x card will fit might work?!?!?

That should work i think but rather you than me, you might be able to use a hobby knife to cut the edge of the slot off, if your careful it should be fine.

You can put pcie cards in a slot that are shorter than the width of the slot, can't see why it wouldn't work the other way around as long as the graphics card could get enough juice and of course it would only run at 8x bandwidth.

Edit: you might want to check their are no other components on the motherboard that would get in the way of the overhanging card.
