Got a puzzle. Have a startech usb3 pcie v2x4 card. Works on other machines, not faulty. If it put it in my MSi x570 ace it won't post. It doesn't fail, it just hangs on code 94 which is "PCI enabling" and after a pause it will try and re post again and goes through this hang-retry loop over and over. My pcie v3x4 sata card works fine so it's not the port on the mobo. Neither the card or the mobo are faulty, they just don't seem to play together nicely. Anyone know what I can try? I've tried latest bios v18.

Can't find a setting just for that slot. There is one for chipset pcie version which I set to version two but made no difference

MSi manual is somewhat lacking in description of it's bios functions and what they are nevermind what they might do! Appalling manual IMO

yes I think so - do you mean the uefi with csm setting? Must admit the manual is so vague I couldn't figure out what that meant and left it on its default setting which does list csm IIRC

Yeah, usually in the boot menu of the bios. It's usually on by default so you'd know about it if you'd turned it off.
