PCIe extension sleeving

I have bought a small extension cable to sleeve to tidy up the look of my case.

24 pin - done with no bother, 8 pin - done with no bother.

The PCIe cable has (I think) the 2 ground wires doubled in to two other pins on the card end.

Is it safe to remove these since mny card only has a 6 pin connection to make the single sleeve look better?

Safe, yes as they'll not be used but be cautious in cutting them off as your next card may need all 8 pins to function.
