Pcie gpu wiring

Just finished a twelve hour shift and my brains not working just got a new gtx 1070 first graphics card first card I've got with two 8pin slots obviously it came with cables but I bought a set of Cablemod ones for my psu.
Is it better to have two separate 8pins coming from the psu to gpu(two separate cables).Or one 8pin from the psu to two 8pin 6/2 2x (one cable two six a two two's)
Hope you understand what I mean head is mince lol

It's better to have two separate cables coming from the PSU in my book. If the card draws a lot of current, then two cables are better.

Can't think of anything, just use the normal precautions and monitor startup.

Some cards have hybrid fans and may not start until under load
