pcie grpahics for £100?

hi,

looking for a card at the £100 mark, ati or nvidia, not to well up on ati stuff, been playing oblivion on my brothers machine with a 6600 and seems to play ok at 1024x768, what sort of performance am i likely to get with a £100 card?

sorry i forgot to mention id like it as quiet as possible, some of these cooling setups looks pretty noisey,

I dont actually see any 7600GT cards for that price.

You could look at the 7600GS cards with passive cooling or even better the Asus ATI Radeon EAX-X1600 XT which has passive cooling too.

There's a 6600GT here for less than £100

But I'd stretch for the X800 GTO (same page) going for £111.57 incl. VAT :cool:

The 7600GT is not only £117 (3D Fuzion), but is also out of stock. :confused:

I don't see it on This Week Only either, so where exactly are you getting this from Easyrider?

If there was a 7600GT on OcUK for £100 I would buy one myself for my other system as its card just went bang, but unfortunately I just do not see one?

Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-080-LT)

easy riders comments were not too helpful tbh.

OMG OCUK is not the only shop in the world!!oneone11!!!!!

Seriously though, the 7600GT is thge best new card in that price range, the best used card would be a 7800gt or similar.

Well I certainly aint linking or naming anything, my point was just that if you use some initiative cheap prices can be had i.e. very close to £100 for the 7600GT. Not for everything... but certainly for some things.

I wasn't asking you to, lol. Just saying I have checked every e-tailer I know of and can't find any that cheap or in stock.

Like I said I would like one, lol. I'll just keep looking.

7600gt is by far your best and only option.

mine cost me £97.50p inc vat and delivery.

i have seen the bfg fusion card sell for £111 inc vat and free delivery. if i were you i would spend the extra 11 quid and get the bfg card which has a 2 year warranty.

I suggest you read the FAQ... we all know competitors cannot be mentioned in threads.

The 7600 GT can be had for around 110 so I don't really see your point TBH

same here, i ordered the cheapo one and ended up with the px7600gt, problem is, i cant find any vmods for it so whilst the free decent cooler is nice, its unmoddable.
