Hi there I currently have a 300mbps wireless n netgear twin channel USB dongle. I think it may be getting too hot inside as sometimes it just looses connection and 90 percent of the time I need to unplug it and plug it back in To get it working on startup. I'm thinking of getting an internal one instead. Looking at my motherboard it has 2 small pci express slots, 1 has my xfi sound card in and the other is covered by my gpu! I have 1 full size pci express slot (for gpu) a 2 pci slots left. Will a pci express wireless card work in a gpu slot or do I need to by a pci card? If I do by a pci card will it be slower than the pci express? I can't imagine that much data going through a wifi card? Thanks

PCIe x1 will work fine in the x16 slot, Your call on which ever you get, PCI will be slower than PCIe but for a wireless adapter this is meaningless. I'd go for PCIe though as its the new tech, PCI shouldn't really be around anymore.
