I wasn't getting a display signal with a 6800xt phantom gaming that I bought used, when my 2060 was working fine.

I took it back to the store and they tested it as working.

I then took out the pcie riser from my thermaltake core p3 and put the 6800xt in directly and it worked.

However still I want to run the card mounted vertically as I had to move my radiator out of the way to test it directly into my mobo.

Can anyone recommend a decent riser cable that may be more likely to work? The one i've been using came with my 5 year old thermaltake core p3.

I'm using both Thermaltake & Kolink riser cables with a range of GPUs but read below.

Try changing the PCI-E mode in BIOS from auto to Gen3 for the slot you are using.

That fixed an issue with a 3070 Ti & 3080 not out putting a signal when vertically mounted via a Thermaltake riser cable.

From what i've read since I think it is a compatibility issue. I can't find any option in the bios to change the pci-e mode. Do you have any idea of where to look?
