Anyone used a pcie riser cable for a sound card or any other card other than a gpu

If so any recommendations please

I just got a cheap riser cable for my sound card which worked for me.

One of the most flexible I could see was an m.2 to PCIe socket riser. You can buy them in left or right configurations and they cost about £25. No idea if they work, I didn't look in any detail.
