PCIe SSD Compatability

Yup, those will both work fine. Why not just get another regular SSD though? Not sure you'll notice much difference to be honest.

At the end of the day, how much faster than silly fast can you actually notice without running a benchmark? A normal ssd will be much cheaper size for size.

It's a dev / gaming box. I do some data processing on it have to shift around 60-100gb files between the ssd and a mass slow storage device to perform calculations on. So it's an opportunity to improve the time this takes :)

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Apologies if I have misunderstood but are you not going to be limited by the speed of the "mass slow storage device"?

Or do you mean replacing the "mass slow storage device" with the PCIe drive? If so, will you still not be limited by the SATA SSD?
