Anyone here got a car on PCP? As a private customer (10k a year) it'd be around £250 a month for a mondeo on a 3 year plan.

This is kinda tempting in a way as the car would be new and maintenance etc isn't my problem. However it is to an extent 'dead' money, as in you're not ending up with any equity :/

Any other pros/cons to this? Bar a finance company being dodgy of final condition/excess milage payments etc.

Take advantage of the savage depreciation on lower specification Mondeos and spend £10k on a 6 month old one, financed from your friendly local bank.

Yeah, even LX has an ok spec (although ideally i'd want zetec or higher, my old man has a mk3 ghia x which isn't a bad car and I quite like driving it).

Other option i'm thinking is an octavia though.

Facelift LX's have full electric windows, cruise, onboard computer, etc etc. The spec isn't THAT bad.

yeah, if I buy trade (got a contact who knows a few people in newport ford) then it'd probably be an LX due to the sheer number of them in fleets :/
