my car is due it’s 3rd year service at the end of the month and the garage are looking at 170 to do it . If I plan to buy the car next year (pcp ends Oct 19) am I okay to service the car myself or will it cause any issues at the end ??
prob best to lock at your agreement or ask the garage you got it from that question, I would guess they will say it needs servicing because what happens if for whatever reason you don't buy it
I plan on buying the car and keeping it for the foreseeable future till it’s at least 10 year old or longer depending . Does everything I need it to. car is seat Ibiza fr
Seat servicing isn't outrageous its very reasonable compared to indy garages. 30k service on my Leon Cupra is £199 plus free road side assistance.
It's not worth devaluing the car and if something goes wrong out of warranty Seat offer more contributions if it has dealer service history.
My water pump went on my last car which was a Seat Ibiza Cupra. Seat covered my excess on the extended warranty as a gesture of good will due to its history etc.
If there is a warranty claim between now and the end of the PCP will the lack of a main dealer service stamp cause a problem? Personally I'd get the car serviced at the main dealer for the first 3 or 4 years of its life.
No reason why you can't have it serviced at a Seat specialist. Thats what we do with my daughters Ibiza and save around £60-80 plus, if seat approved parts are used it keeps the warranty intact.
But check that your dealership will price match...
