Would an R9 290 pcs+ be fine in an nzxt h440 case? I've heard they get quite hot and the case does have 3/4 fans already in but it doesn't have the best ventilation. Just wondering if I would need to get more fans etc

That GPU will fit fine. With the H440 you'll want fans with a higher static pressure.

Could you suggest some I could buy? And I imagine if I don't overclock it, it will be fine until I get around to buying some more?

What size fans does the H440 need? And how many? Any colour preference?

If I were to replace all existing ones I would need 3x 120mm and 1 140mm

Green and With LEDs if they arnt too expensive

They are static pressure optimised so should help with ventilation in your H440.
