PCTV DVB-T Dual Tuner, making virtual ethernet ??

MY PCI-Express Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T Dual Tuner has made a Pinnacal Virtual ethernet adaptor ??? now on install there was videos about it been able to stream ....
bt no settings ..... has any 1 got any ideas to y its made one and what its uses cud be for ?

its also made its own ip like mine ... and also has a subnet mask

of 255.255.0.0

The card may support IP over DVB, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_DVB

Not sure if there are any direct applications for it though, i think it may have originally been intended for satellites mostly.
