I am looking into getting a PDA shortly but seeing as I have never owned one and rarely use them my overall knowledge is pretty much nill.
The main reason I am getting one is for my final year research project / dissertation - it basically involves developing programs to help speed up engineering tasks in the field. Another reason is I just like my toys and have been wanting an excuse to get one for ages!
The only features I can think of so far:
- WLAN / Wi-Fi capable
- Decent screen size
- Bright screen (readable outside)
I haven't got a clue about the different OS's and a bit of research seems to suggest that it's pretty much down to user preference, like Mac OS vs. MS Windows -- I could, of course, be totally wrong.
I am only looking to spend upto £300 - the less the better, but I don't want to miss out on features or function just for the sake of a price tag.
Can you guys suggest any PDA's or links to articles etc giving decent information about the choice of PDA's, usage, developing programs for the PDA etc etc?
