Hi

Is it possible to extract text from PDF files so that it is editable in word? i.e. not just copying the text as an image.

Yes, well unless it has been secured. Can you not use the caret tool to select text?

Not sure - basically a company that I use to work for has contacted me to do some more work for them - editing job. In the past i used to scan all the documents, ocr them and then edit. If I can just edit the online PDFs it will save me loads of time.

Try an OCR program like Abbyy Fine Reader.
