Hopefully a simple question.

My mate has an application form to fill in and he cannot enter text into it.

I have told him that maybe its simply not the type that can do it electronically and that he will have to print it out and scan it back in once he has filled it in by hand.

he says that it only need unlocking.

Can anyone clarify how this is?

Unfortunately, I am not able to post a link to teh form because of the nature of it, and I am hoping that people can simply give us a general idea of how PDF files work in relation to the ability to enter text, and if the file is indeed locked in some way, then how can I unlock it?

It is NOT passworded by the way..

Thanks if you understand WTF Im on about!

Should be plenty of free apps on google to unlock the security on the document. To see what's been locked etc, you can view by going Edit -> Protection -> Security settings.

Ok cheers, I have had a look at the properties and it says things like editable and then allowed, and everything is allowed, so it must not have any actual boxes that you can put text into!

Many thanks mate.
