Anyone else having issues? As of this morning, my 6 pcs at work refuse to open certain PDF`s via a browser. Including ones from our own website.
If I download the pdf, the files are fine and the open as they should.

In Edge I get the message - "We can`t open this file. Something went wrong."
In Chrome I get - "Error, failed to load pdf document"

If I download the file, I can open it in Edge, Chrome Or Foxit, without issues.

I/We certainly have not changed anything.

Any Ideas?

I been opened pdf online last night worked fine and tested again now worked fine on both Edge and Chrome.

If you still cant open above pdf, try the solution for Edge and Chrome below.

^^ Thank you.

So, fortunately I had some time to do some testing at work and at home.
Firefox - No issues at work or home.
Chrome & Edge, No issues at home, broken at work.

As it turns out, it is our work anti-virus software. (AVIRA Pro) Something has changed after an update.
After backwards and forwards with support, they are refusing to acknowledge, and have recommended adding the problem websites to the trusted domains within the software.
Another solution, which I discovered myself, is to turn off "HTTPS Scanning"

Either of the above options and a browser restart fixes the issue. I can also replicate very easily.
The cynic in me thinks this is a known issue, and the issue will simply disappear. We have used Avira pro (Paid) for as long as I can remember. Recently, its becoming a bit bloated with useless utilities.
I suspect a whitelist issue or similar.

I googled Avira found it is bloated used 2GB space.

My Norton 360 Advanced used only tiny 300MB space and it supported up to 10 devices, it is much better than Avira Pro up to 5 devices.

All Norton 369 settings enabled included "HTTPS Scanning" worked fine with read pdf online.
