Not technically related to PC power supplies, but it is power related...

I was wondering if someone could help me with this. I'm sure someone on these forums uses multiple power distribution units to handle the dozens of plugs in their PC/gaming setups.

I'm looking for something like the Technical Pro PS9U, only with UK plug sockets. I cannot for the life of me, find one of these, or something similar, with individual switches for each socket.

Anyone know of any in the UK?

Might to need explain a bit more, as need to know more about what the purpose is?

A PDU with UK Sockets is basically just a standard extension lead (like you could buy from B&Q, Homebase etc) - they come in switched varieties.

The alternative is something like the one you linked, but arguably with standard IEC power connectors. e.g. something like a "HP MODULAR PDU EXTENSION BAR"

Finally, a UPS would also fit into a similar sort of role, although obviously with surge protection and battery backup.

Does it need to be rackmountable? and also why do you need individual switches?

edit:
This has UK plugs, rackmount but no individual switches

The purpose is to plug in my PC and my dozens of games consoles. But it needs to have individual switches so I can switch off anything im not using, to save on standby power.

There are a number of devices that would suit my need, but have IEC connectors, which are obviously no good. Not sure if you can get IEC to UK plug converters.

a UPS isn't neccessary as I am not concerned about data loss or anything like that. I just need a way to plug in all my gear and be able to easily and conveniently switch off anything that isnt being used. I have a habit of leaving everything plugged in so I probably use quite a bit of power just leaving things in standby.

It doesn't need to be rack mountable. They'll most likely sit on top of my shelves.

Would something like this be of use?

If you really need to individually switch everything off (and honestly if just for standby power I wouldn't be worrying as cost is likely to be <£10/year) then go for the simple option and switched extension leads e.g.

whilst you can get 8 or more way sockets (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sivitec-Switched-Extension-Protection-Indicator/dp/B00DVHJKLE/ ), the build quality and safety of a lot of them has been proven in the past to be questionable

So im now debating on getting a couple of PDU's with individual switches. The ones with the IEC kettle plug sockets on the back, and putting kettle plugs on the end of all the power cables on my consoles.
I can do this no problem, but will everything run ok like this? The PDU's have 15A fuses so it shouldn't matter about the consoles not having fuses anymore right?

some good looking stuff. sent them an email to see if they do any individualy switched PDU's with UK plug outlets instead of IEC kettle plug outlets.
