Peak wattage for this system

Can anyone help me with calculating the peak wattage for the following system. I've tried various online calculators, such as the one at www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine, but they give absurd wattages - e.g. 850W or more.

1 x Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHz
1 x GeForce 8800 GTX @ stock
1 x High end motherboard
4 x 1Gb DDR2 RAM
1 x SB X-Fi sound card
2 x DVD+RW units
2 x 7200rpm harddrives
4 x 800rpm 120mm fans (two for CPU / GPU cooling, the rest for the case)
5 x USB units, e.g. webcam, wireless mouse etc

I'll probably build this in a P182 case, and I'd like to keep my Corsair HX520 PSU if possible.

Many thanks

How did you manage that? Did you select "Quad Processor" from the drop down box about your system type? That is the only way I can get anywhere near that sort of wattage, normally it comes in at around 455w, I would have guessed maybe 500w max before I even used the calculator though. :)

Think also 'High end motherboard' refers to the one's with 2 CPU sockets, etc!

Mouse & keyboard are already factored in.

The HX 520W should ran that rig & more fine ;)

EDIT: Getting 444w @ 100% TDP for that rig :)

Yeah, chose Quad from the dropdown... guess that was wrong :-) Glad the calculation show my PSU will manage.

I naturally meant enthusiast motherboard, the kinds we all use :-) Again, glad the calculation show the HX520 is enough, there are are some seriously overinflated PSU numbers out there!

you be totaly fine with that psu my main rig (see sig) the whole setup eith watercooling gear (that 21" moniter speakers xbox hd drive etc) barly consumes 440w when Orthos and Ati tool and running full pelt. Get the 620w vertion if u plan to stick a 2nd GTX in there
