not sure about reinventing, to be honest i don't think i've seen him bad in anything - and in things like Fury, he's 'ing fantastic. granted he's had some loopy times in his past but so what?

film looks pretty good, but; who the **** started this habit of putting a clip of the trailer at the start to announce that you're about to watch a 'ing trailer? i just ask because i'd like to stab them in the eyes.

I don't actually mind him in most movies, as you say, he's normally decent, he's just a bit of a clown in the public eye which was quite off putting for a while.

Even in Transformers he wasn't the worst thing about it and pretty much everything else his acting has been brilliant, I think a lot of his real life wackyness is just an act
