Hey,

I just thought I would share a piece of software which I have been using for about a month now since my last reinstall as a replacement for WinRAR or 7Zip.

It's called PeaZip and just works brilliantly, is very small, lightweight.

I have never been able to get 7Zip to work and didn't want to pay for WinRAR and this is just brilliant.

Just wanted to share it with you all.

from sounds of it the guy has no computer user knowledge, i'm not taking the ****, just stating the obvious

Thanks for that. I do have "computer knowledge". I would prefer it if you didn't just shout out like that as unless a user posts they have no knowledge of a particular subject then others on the forum have no idea.

I did mean that I have tried it quickly in the past and for one reason or another I couldn't get it to work. Therefore, I have been put off trying it out since. I then decided to try PeaZip which has worked fine for my needs. I was merely sharing a program I found useful to other members.

you don't have to pay for winrar....

you download the latest version and after the trial period is over it still works, you just close the little box that appears wanting you to pay for it, just close it as you would a normal window, once you close the small box it works all the same as it did b4

I know all about that, I used WinRAR like that for over 3 years! ahahaha
